How to get a Promotion with a Smile

In the office, are you the “Negative Nelly” or “Joyful Joy?” Have you noticed you will either attract or repel people based on your attitude. You’ll also have to fight a lot less for the promotion if your mindset is full of positivity.  It’s true when you think and act positive thoughts, you attract positive events and people to your life; you become a happiness magnet.  This goes the same for negativity, it’s like a leech that won’t let go until torched off with a flame.

On my quest to heal myself naturally, and to deal with all the chaos of being a professional working mom I began reviewing what I was putting in my mind. I soon discovered it was a bunch of BS. No wonder I thought everything sucked.

The way I show up in the mornings is different than it was 5 years ago. How I talk to myself in the AM plays a huge role in how I show up for the world.

Affirmations are a simple, powerful way to keep you focused on the positive and keep you from dwelling on the negative. Here are a few of the way’s affirmations can help you improve your view on life.  

  • Start believing that happiness is a choice; it isn’t dependent on any outside forces like destiny, incidents, or relationships. People can’t make you feel happy or sad nor can you make people feel happy or sad. That’s 100% on you. It’s not easy to choose happy in a negative situation but you have the power to choose it. When you are happy you give off positive vibes and you become a magnet for good things.
  • Remove the toxic thoughts or people in your life. Stop doing things that make you feel bad about yourself.  When faced with a challenge or difficulty, reframe the situation so there’s good in the challenge and not difficulty. Know that you have multiple good things to offer the world and focus on those.
  • Foster a tribe of happy people. The more positivity you’re surrounded by the easier it is to live and feel happy.  

Not going to lie, there are things which have happened in my life where I know I was granted greatness simply based off my mindset/attitude.  Is everything perfect? F*CK no ๐Ÿ˜Š But, my life has become more positive and fulfilling since exercising my mindset. Start out with just an affirmation or two every day, and as it becomes a habit, you will find that puts your whole day on the track toward positivity.
