When is your body’s annoying wake time - 2am or 3am?
You know, that point in the middle of the night where you start tossing and turning, your mind starts racing, and your spouse is still snoring.
Poor sleep results in the hangover effect without even taking a sip of alcohol, not cool!
So what do you do? You turn to the things which are known to interrupt your sleep patterns. Items like coffee, sugar, processed foods, and alcohol (got to get to sleep somehow). It’s a vicious cycle of “I need energy, I am tired, I need energy, I am tired.”
Your body repairs & refreshes itself during the sleep phase. So if you want to be more productive, have more endurance, and avoid being a grouch, then it’s time to get quality Zzzzz’s!!!!
The microbiome (aka gut) supports the way you sleep. When you feed it with items which “mess it up” it gets confused and produces hormones which directly affect sleep. Studies are showing when you feed the gut with the following nutrients you may sleep better. (And I concur, I sleep like a rock - earplugs help :)
Food regulates metabolism and creates building blocks for healthy hormones. Don’t cheat yourself by consuming crap. Eat well, live well, and follow your gut.
